Sealer’s Choice® Gold – Rapid Cure is a premium grade, high-performance penetrating/impregnating stone, tile & grout sealer. It is a low-VOC, water-based sealer formulated to provide maximum stain protection, especially in food preparation and serving areas. Ideal for all interior and exterior natural stone (including around salt water swimming pools), tile & grout surfaces. This premium sealer also includes built-in Microban® – Cured Sealant is Mould & Mildew Resistant, and this sealer lasts up to 15 years.

For Use On: As a natural look sealer for all natural stone surfaces (such as sandstone, slate, quartz, marble, limestone, granite, bluestone/basalt) unglazed tiles, polished & unpolished porcelain tiles, clay pavers, polished & unpolished concrete, terrazzo, brick, grout, masonry, encaustic tiles, terracotta and grout. Suitable for both interior and exterior use.

Microban Built In: MicroBan anti-microbial acts to inhibit micro-organisms, providing another level of protection against damaging microbes, such as bacteria, mould and mildew that can cause stains, odours and product deterioration.

Aqua Mix sealers do not permanently affect slip resistance: There may be a temporary increase in slip resistance due to residue left on the surface after application, but this wears off quickly with use, returning the surface to its natural slip resistance. So, long-term, the sealer does not make the surface more slippery or grippier.

Limitations

• Do not allow sealer to come in contact with any non-recommended surface.
• If the product is allowed to dry on the surface, a white film may form. If this occurs, scrub with Aqua Mix® NanoScrub® and a white nylon pad.
• The sealer will not prevent surface wear or etching from acids or caustic chemicals.

Equipments: Pump sprayer, paint pad applicator, lambswool applicator, sponge or brush, dry cotton, paper or microfiber towels.

Surface Preparation: The surface should be dry, clean and free of waxes, sealers or finishes. New installations need to be dry 24 hours before application. Protect surrounding surfaces. Test product in an inconspicuous area to ensure desirable results. The Stone, Tile or Grout must be dry prior to applying sealer – the following document explains in detail the definition of the term “dry” as it relates to sealer application.

Procedure:

1. Always test a small area first to ensure satisfactory results.
2. Apply using a pump sprayer, paint pad applicator, lambswool applicator, sponge or brush.
3. Allow it to penetrate for up to 5 minutes, if the surface is drying within 5 minutes, apply more sealer to keep surface wet for up to 5 minutes.
4. Wipe surface completely dry using clean, dry cotton, paper or microfiber towels after each application. Ensure no sealer is allowed to dry on the surface.
5. Porous surfaces may require additional applications.
6. Conduct a test to see if the surface is completely sealed after 2 hours by applying drops of water on the surface. If it penetrates, an additional application is required.

Notes:

• All spills should be wiped up immediately to reduce the chances of absorption. It is important that no acidic cleaners or products that contain solvents are used on sealed natural stone.
• This recommendation is intended as a guideline for the application of a sealer. The actual sealing requirements may vary depending on type of tile and sealer selected.

Drying Time:

• Allow 30 minutes of drying time between applications when conditions are 20° Celsius and 70% RH.
• If temperatures are lower or humidity higher than these times may be longer.
• If unsure about the specific job site temperatures and conditions please contact one of our technical advisors.
• Ready for surface traffic in a minimum of 2 hours.
• Keep dry for a minimum of 12 hours.
• Achieves a full cure in a minimum of 24 hours.

Product Maintenance:

• Routine Cleaning: Regurlar cleaning should consist of a regular mop or light scrub with a pH neutral detergent, or Aqua Mix Concentrated Stone & Tile Cleaner at a dilution rate of 1 part product to 80 parts water. Using this product on a regular basis will safely remove soiling and help prevent a stubborn build up without damaging the tile, grout or sealer. This product is a pH Neutral formula and will not harm any other water-safe surfaces.
• For heavy-duty or periodic cleaning: pre-wet the floor using Aqua Mix Stone Deep Clean or Aqua Mix Heavy-Duty Tile & Grout Cleaner diluted at a ratio of 6:1. Allow the solution to soak on the surface for 3 to 5 minutes, ensuring the area stays wet. Agitate the floor with either an Aqua Mix AquaScrub or a rotary floor scrubbing machine. Once agitation is complete, extract the liquid from the floor using a microfiber mop or a wet vacuum cleaner fitted with a squeegee head. Finally, rinse the area thoroughly with clean, potable water and mop up any remaining rinse water.
• Sealer Reapplication: Thoroughly clean the surface using the periodic cleaning method, then reapply sealer following application instructions as per label. No stripping will be required for reapplication. Please review specific sealer data sheets for recommended reapplication period.
• Pre-Grout Sealer/Grout Release: Porous tile and stone can be stained by grout during installation. Sealing the tile before grouting will make grout removal much easier. Apply sealer according to directions after tile has been bonded for a minimum of 24 hours, or apply to front face of tile before installation. Wait a minimum of 2 hours before grouting.
